Time for some Fall projects!

Hello and welcome to another project here at Exploring Cricut and More. Since tomorrow is Halloween it is time to switch gears and get some Fall and Thanksgiving projects ready. Sometimes it seems like Thanksgiving gets pushed aside for Christmas early, but even though I am itching to do some Christmas, I will be sharing a few Fall and Thanksgiving things in the next week or so.  Today I am sharing a layout idea with you.  I am first a scrapbooker and totally love it, but I have gotten so far behind as you have heard me say many times!  Today I am sharing this layout with pictures from 2011......We usually dive in to eat and forget pictures, but this year I snapped a few for the little ones scrapbook.  Below the pictures are the details.
For this layout I used the Cricut Explore.  I also used some svg files from PPBN Designs (tell Nicki I sent you) I used the Gobble title which I cut at 6.5 inches, and the Thanksgiving turkey which I cut at 3.25 inches.  I did remember to write the sizes down.  I also used the Days and Dates cartridge and cut the 2011 at 4.5 inches, the Thanksgiving cartridge for the Pumpkin cut at 5.5 and Designer Calendar for the Give Thanks which was cut at 2.5 inches.  I had some scraps of pattern paper from CTMH, cardstock from Michaels, stickles, ribbons, and washi tape to finish off.  I inked the edges with CTMH inks.  Thanks for joining me today and I will have another project to share with you Saturday.
Close up of the title which was so easy to put together!
Cute Thanksgiving Turkey for the page too!

A Little Halloween Treats

Hello and happy Tuesday! I have been busy creating some little treat containers for my nieces and nephews and my little granddaughter. A couple years ago I stopped passing out candy at my house because when it cost as much as a week of groceries, it is time to stop. I also could not stand the fact that people would bring out these little tiny few months or in some cases week old babies in the cold just to get themselves candy!!! I told my husband it was time to stop or my mouth would get the best of me lol.  So I love Halloween and always fix up some treats for my special ones and I decided to do a few using my Cricut Explore and a few with my Silhouette Cameo for people following the blog with either machine.  Also the ones with the Cricut can be used in any of their legacy machines.  All the paper in the boxes were from a paper pad from Recollections called Witches Dust that I scored for 70% off on Sunday.  I live more than a hour away from any craft stores, so I always get me some deals when I go.  I also used Michaels cardstock.  The first picture is of the entire group I made and after each individual picture will be the details.

This little popcorn box treat container is using Cricut Explore and Tags, Bags, Boxes and More popcorn box cut at 11.5 inches.  The ghost is from Monster Bash cut at 2.5 and the Boo is from Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art cut at 1.5 inches
Frankie Box is using the same TBBM box cut at 11.5 inches, Frankie from Happy Hauntings cut at 2 inches. I used the Cricut Explore.
For this one I used the Cricut Explore and the box from CTMH Artiste cut at 11.5 inches, and the monster Bump in the Night cut at 2 inches.  I also used some wiggly eyes.
For this box I used the Silhouette Cameo and purchased this file#67098 by Nilmara Quintela.  This is a really small box when made but so cute.  I just cut at the size it loaded too.
I loved this gable box and it is also with the Silhouette Cameo and it is also at the size .  It is file#66961 from Samantha Walker.
This is a cute little bat box from Silhouette file#65605 from Jamie Cripps.  She will also be selling svgs soon so check out her site and email her so she knows there is interest for our Cricut Explore.
This last box is a popcorn box monster from the Silhouette Store file#65607 this is also a Jamie Cripps.  I hope my little friends love their treats and will enjoy their boxes too!!  Thanks for visiting and join me Thursday for another great project.

Welcome to our Saturday birthday celebration projects. Today is the last day to enter our challenge for a chance to win a couple of great prizes. I will announce the winners tomorrow. Today a couple of my crafty friends were going to contribute projects, but one was ill so I came up with something quick at the last minute so sorry I could not do something more. So here are the projects for today!!!

Hello, Emily here from www.emilyqueenofallthingscrafty.blogspot.com with a birthday card from the recently released Artfully Sent from Close to My Heart. I also used my Cricut Expressions to cut.  It is a 5x7 card that is cut at 5" using the pop-up and icon features.  Check out all of the great projects you can create using this cartridge.

Diane here with this quick and easy treat bag.  I found this bag in Design Studio as a freebie, not sure what it came from because all that was listed was free.  I also used balloons from Formal Occasion cartridge and my Cricut Explore.  This was perfect to fill with some little candy bars.  I just stamped with a stamp in my collection.  The bag is 5.5 inches.  I hope you have enjoyed our little week of celebration and projects.  Thanks to all my crafty friends who helped me out this week and to you for supporting Exploring Cricut over the last 4 years!!!!

Thursday Celebrations with my Crafty Friends!

Hello and welcome to another fantastic party day with Exploring Cricut and More. Hope you are enjoying our birthday celebration and plan on entering our challenge this week. Just a few more days!!! Today a couple more of my crafty friends are sharing wonderful ideas!

Hello! It's Tina from www.thescrappinrabbit.blogspot.com  sharing a birthday card in celebration of Exploring Cricut and More's 4th birthday! I used my Cricut and made this puppy cupcake card using an SVG from Too Cute By Jessica. I wanted it to be bright and festive and stepped out of my comfort zone using multiple patterns. I hope you can join in on the challenge and please visit my blog for more details on my project!
Hello and thanks for joining us today.  Michelle here from www.justanutterpapercrafter.blogspot.com sharing this great project with you.  I used the Cricut Expressions and Sweet Treat Boxes for this project.  My mom's birthday was yesterday, and a German Chocolate Cupcake (Gluten Free) went in this so she could have cake for her special day. I chose the dark brown cardstock for the chocolate, and the Antique Cream Berry Plaid (Keeping Memories Alive) reminded me so much of the frosting. I did use gold Liquid Pearls to jazz up the icing, and added the rust colored flowers (Prima) to resemble the baked coconut. I used my alcohol marker to color the pearls in the flowers brown, and used brown organza ribbon to complete my arrangement.

Diane sharing today this fun adult gift!  This was really easy and fast to make.  I used Modge Podge to put on the stem of the glass and sprinkled fine glitter.  After it dried, I added a couple layers of Triple Thick and that will make it not come off when wet.  I used my Cricut Explore and the Artiste cartridge for the birthday girl which is made of 651 Oracle vinyl.  I used to the George cartridge to make circles from red and white to finish it off.  I plan on putting some chocolates in it to go with her wine!!!  Just think of the possibilities that you can do with a wine goblet.  Be sure to show us your creative birthday project by entering our challenge this week.

Tuesday's Birthday Celebration!!!

Hello! Welcome to our Tuesday Birthday Celebration. Today two of my friends are joining in with wonderful projects for this celebration week. Be sure to enter our challenge for a chance to win some wonderful projects. Now here are today's creations!

This is Michelle from www.cricutcrazyscrapper.blogspot.com   Since we are celebrating birthdays this week at Exploring Cricut,  I used the Birthday Bash and Create A Critter 2 cartridges to make this birthday card for my niece.  It's a fun little card when you want something "punny"!

I used the Birthday Bash cartridge to cut the shaped card base at 4 1/4 inches.  I cut two of the scallop mats (also from Birthday Bash) in two different prints and cut each in half, with some ribbon across the center visually connect them.  The cute little party bird is from Create A Critter 2, cut at 3 inches.  I added a little bling to his party hat…because what is a birthday party without some bling?  I stamped my Happy bird-day sentiment and hand cut the little banners.  I did a little more quick stamping inside to finish it all off.  Quick, easy, and cute!

Happy Birthday to Exploring Cricut and More!     Katrina here from www.scrappyhorses.blogspot.com   There's such a great celebration over here and I'm so happy to have been invited to the party!

Since it's a birthday, I decided to share a present and wrapping I made for my sister.  Now, for those of you who follow my blog you may be thinking you saw her birthday card weeks ago!  (You'll notice a color theme here!  These are her favorite colors.)  Yes, you did; her birthday was in September.  We always celebrate all the fall birthdays together at one time in the middle of October.  Ok, I realize that was probably more info than you needed about my family's celebration habits, so on with the project!  ; )

The actual necklace was made from the Base and Bling Collection at CTMH.  The Base and Bling pieces include:  Faux Silver Chain, Faux Silver Square Pendant, Square Glass Cover, Storyteller Sheet, Rhinestone Charm, and Storyteller Charm.  I added a couple of jewelry rings from my stash.  For directions on making this necklace see this video.

I made the display card from CTMH Olive and Sweet leave cardstock.  I cut a piece of cereal box the same size as the Sweet Leaf piece of CS and glued it all together.  I punched a couple of small holes and cut slits on the diagonal to the holes.  To keep the chain in place I found a little bag with self sealer and stuck the remaining chain in and just stuck down the self sealing part.  I never throw anything away.....does this make me a hoarder?  Yikes, oh well.....in this case it worked out well!
Now for moment you've been waiting for.......The Wrapping!!!!
This sweet little pillow box is from the Wrap it Up cartridge.  I used CTMH Ivy Lane (retired) papers.  I cut the little flower from the same CS's as above.  The little flower is cut with a hole in the middle.  I simply cut two.  I tipped them in Smokey Plum ink and curled the petals a bit.  I used a bit of scrap tulle and tied it around the box.  I knotted it 3 times to give it a large knot and pulled the knot through the hole in the flower.  I then trimmed off the excess tulle.  EASY!!

Have a great time at the party!  Be sure to enter our challenge and join in our FUN!!!!

Exploring Cricut & More is turning 4 this week!  Hello,  Michelle here from www.justanutterpapercrafter.blogspot.com   Here is a Twisted Easel card I made for the occasion. I also needed a card for my sisters birthday in December, so I made this to celebrate her love of motorcycles. She has a Harley Road King, so this bike isn't a Harley, but she'll like it anyway! The image came from Rock Princess, cut at 4 3/4". All of the bike is cut using scraps. The hair is almost identical to my sisters real hair color-it's gorgeous! The road is a Paper Trey ink stamp embossed with white embossing powder, and the bottom sentiment (Live life at full throttle) is from Unity Stamp Co. Thanks for visiting me today, and make sure you enter a project-what great prizes!
Diane here today too sharing a couple different options for your gifts.  The first is a box I created using my Cricut Explore and svg files from SVG Cuts Mother's Garden.  I also used the cartridge Stamping for the Happy Birthday.  This is a easy box and the paper I used is from DCWV Celebrations stack.

For this bag, I just used one from the Dollar Tree and the top border is from Mother's Day 2010, the pennents on the side of the bag in different sizes is from Creative Cards, Happy Birthday is from WildCard 2 and the balloons and confetti was in my subscription under My Image Set.  Now we have two different ways to present a gift to someone.  Join our challenge so we can see what you come up with for our celebration and tomorrow we will  have 2 more great projects to share!!!!

Halloween Trick or Treat Containers

Happy Saturday. Today I want to share two different Trick or Treat holders. Both will hold lots of goodies when the little ones go out on that special night.  The first one I created using the Silhouette Cameo and used the Jamie Cripps file #66100 Frankenstein Card that I purchased in the Silhouette store.  She does have plans to sell her svg files on her blog and that will be coming soon.  Even though this was a card, I still used the elements for this canvas bag.  I got the bag at Michaels in a set of 4 or 5 and used HTV from Expressions Vinyl.   I also used my heat press.  If you are thinking about one, I got mine at Amazon and it is from Fancierstudios and was around $239 and worth every penny!!!  I think my little nephew will get this bag.

My next container I made I used my Cricut Explore.  I used files from Miss Kate Cuttables called Ghost and one called Trick or Treat.  I just used parts of each files to create this look.  I always save the little pieces of vinyl and punch them out with circle punches and put them in a container and I used these too.  I also used the Quarter Note cartridge and created my granddaughters name.  Just added a few different colored ribbons and she is ready to get some goodies.  I got the bucket at Hobby Lobby.  I used Expressions Vinyl Oracle 651 vinyl.

A Little Christmas Kitsch

Happy Thursday! Today I am pleased to share a layout using the Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch cartridge and my Cricut Explore.  I know this is geared to cardmaking, but I am a scrapbooker at heart and I knew I could make a cute page out of those elements.  I love the adorable Santa and I cut him at 5.5 inches.  The reindeer was cut at 5.75 inches and Merry Christmas was cut at 6 inches.  They went really well with the Anna Griffin Christmas paper that I bought off of HSN last week.  It is nice heavy cardstock. I know I jumped ahead a little, but wanted to show you this cartridge!!! Now why should you buy this cartridge???  Well it makes beautiful cards and think of the possibilities of other projects.  I do plan on other scrapbook layouts with it too!  I have enclosed closeup of these images for you to look at.  Check it out today over at Cricut.com  Be sure to join me Saturday with a cute Halloween project!!!

A little Seasonal Soiree

Hello and hope you all enjoyed a nice weekend. I got to spend Saturday in my craft room since my hubby was refereeing volleyball tournaments and got to play with a couple new cartridges.  Today I am sharing a couple cards from the Anna Griffin Seasonal Soiree .  When I got the email from Cricut this week I decided to buy it digital and I had a $5 off so made it better.  The only thing I can say I dislike about this cartridge is that the manual online does not give you the sizes to cut like most of the cartridges do.  This first card and envelope I am sharing is on the Make It Now so it was already sized for you. I did use the Cricut Explore for these cards.  This is the Pumpkin card which would make a great invitation too.  I used CTMH cardstock and some stickles.  I also cut out the bat and spider to add to it.  I really like the Make It Now projects and you can complete them quickly and still add your own touches.

This next card is the Bat Invitation.  I plan on using it for my niece in her treat bag.  I love how the fine details cut perfectly.  I played around till I sized this the way I wanted it, but forgot to write down the size.  I will have to get better with that lol.  I just used a stamp in my collection.  I used some silver and gray papers from Michaels.  I really like this cartridge and got my eye on a couple more.  I finally got all my cartridges on my Gypsy linked, so now I am happy!!!!  Join me on Thursday and I am going to show you a project with the Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch cartridge.  I love it!!!!
