Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

Seriously, I do not want to build a snowman, but I know I have several pictures in my boxes to fill in this page lol. The weather can stay just like it is right now all winter for me and that would make me happy.  Winter, cold, and snow don't work with me and I hate going out.   I know I have some cute pictures of my little granddaughter to add to these pages.  For these, I used my Cricut Explore and PPBN Designs Do You Wanna to Build a Snowman page kit.  I love Nikki's kits and I have used almost all of them.  This was really quick and simple.  I did make these pieces a little smaller, but was not sure of the sizes.  When I use the Cameo, these come the correct sizes.  For the title I cut it 5.5 inches, snowman 2.5 inches and the snowflakes are .5, .75, and 1 inch.  The paper is some old Chatterbox in my stash.  I plan on using my stash this year.  I am on a Facebook page called Scrapbook layouts and starting in January we will be doing a 30 day challenge.  I am going to try to achieve this challenge.  Join me on Thursday with another share.  Now I must head out and renew my drivers license since I almost forgot!!!

Time for some calendar fun!

Hello! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got lots of crafty goodies! I got a few things from my friend Emily, but this year no major items were needed for my craft room except a bigger room lol. I did get $100 in Michaels gift cards so I will be putting those to use soon.  Today I am sharing a calendar page for January.  With trying to clean up the mess, I managed to get this done pretty quickly with the help of my Cricut Explore.  I used svg files from Treasurebox Designs.  I used the January title file which I cut at 5.5 inches, the snowman cut at 4.5 inches and the Polar bear cut at 4.5 inches.  I used some background paper in my stash from Moxxie called Winter Wishes.  I think I will start a calendar book to give as a gift next year!  Never to early to get started.  I will be enjoying the next couple days and then get back to crafting with a new project for you Tuesday.  Tomorrow is my birthday so I plan on celebrating, just glad to be here to celebrate lol.  Enjoy and see you soon!

Just a couple quick cards.

Here we are down to the last minute for cards and gifts. With Christmas just a couple days away, lots to do and so little time. With being sick for a couple weeks, I got behind in making cards, so my Cricut Explore came to my rescue! I was able to complete several cards using the Christmas Kitsch cartridge and here are just a couple.  Not stamped inside yet, but these will go on gifts.  I love that it is so simple to put together these cards.  If you don't have this cartridge, you should put it on your must have list.  I know in a few days Christmas will be over, but you can use these fabulous images when scrapping those wonderful holiday memories.  Today I plan to bake a little and will add cards to a plate of goodies for the neighbors.  Have a wonderful Christmas holiday with your families.  Merry Christmas friends and see you on Saturday with a project.

Winter Wonderland Review

Happy Saturday before Christmas. I know if you are like me you are still making last minute gifts and cards. I just finished a couple gifts for my brother, gag gift things, a couple for my friend and some cards that I waited to the last minute to make!!! I have been busy in my craft room making projects for the blog for the coming week, but will take a couple days off to have a sleepover with my two favorite little girls, Katie and Peyton my granddaughters.  Love spending time with them and I am sure that some baking will be happening as well.  Now to today's review.  I am reviewing the Winter Wonderland cartridge.  I am totally loving this one and used the .  Today I did a scrapbook page, but when you see all the images, you can just go crazy with ideas.  If you have the subscription, this is included.  I did purchase it digitally, and will be using this so many times.
Look at all these fabulous images included in this cartridge!!!!!!
I did a layout and so love this one and can't wait to add my pictures and believe me as far behind as I am, I have tons of Christmas pictures.  I used the poinsettia, Christmas for the title, holly, and holly wreath.  I have posted individual pictures and will post the measurements under them.  I used some pattern paper that I got at Hobby Lobby and love it is a Christmas music theme.
This poinsettia was cut at 5.50 inches.  Love this so much!
I cut the Christmas title at 7.5 inches and the holly at 2.5 inches
The holly at 2.5 inches and the holly wreath was cut at 4 inches.  Be sure to check out this cartridge and I will be back on Tuesday with another project.  Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Crafting!

Time for some treats!!!

Hello and welcome to Exploring Cricut and More. With Christmas in just one week so much to do! I belong to the Grandparents Club at my little granddaughters school and it is to encourage Grandparents to be involved. Well I took my crafty side and decided to make treats for her to give her class on Friday at their Christmas party.  I used my trusty Cricut Explore and bag toppers from a set called  Sweet Winter Faces from My Scrap Chick.  These are so easy to create and then I just filled a bag of goodies and attached the bag topper.  Luckily, she has only 12 in her class lol.   I was able to whip these out in a couple hours.  Love when a project comes together quickly.
I love the Santa and this adorable snowman.  After I took the pictures and sent them on their way, I had forgot to do the white in the eyes.  I am sure the kids will not even notice.  I do because I am picky, but I had added stickles and wanted to dry and then got busy on another project!!!!
I know my little one loves Penquins so I did this and the cute Gingerbread person.
I added a pencil, sucker, foam snowman ornament, Christmas Tree cake and a candy cane.  I hope they love them!!!

Hello and welcome to Exploring Cricut and More. The days are getting so close to Christmas and so much to do to get ready.  I am finally feeling back to normal except for a cough, but my husband has it again, so just a matter of time!  I told him I love sharing, but this is not one of those things!  More medicine and we will be back to normal.  Well I have a couple easy holiday gift ideas or for yourself some decorating.  I created this blocks that are 3.5 x3.5 inches and used vinyl on the letters after I painted them.  I cut with my Cricut Explore and this is Alphabet #25 from My Vinyl Designer.  If you haven't been to their site, be sure to visit and pick up some freebies too!  I made a set of Joy and Noel.  Just think of the holidays coming up and what you can do!!!!  Join me Thursday for another project.  I have 2 parties this week so I am going to try to cram in this week and nexts crafting in the next 3 days!  After the holidays we will all get back on track and hopefully many of you will get some new crafting materials.  I only ask for some mats and blades, no new machines or gadgets this year.  Had to get 2 new computers last Christmas!!!  Enjoy your week and happy crafting.

Last of Gift Ideas to Share

Well hopefully after this weekend, this old girl will be back to her crafty self again. This has been a hard road with this illness and when this cough is finished, I can get back to work.  Today I want to share a few more little gift ideas with the blanks from my friends at Punch Place Plus.  You can visit their website by clicking their button on the ride side of my blog.
I love these glitter snowmen that I got from PPP.  They are acrylic and so easy to customize to your taste.  You can use any machine on them and make the cutest ornaments.  I am planning on using these on packages.
I used vinyl on these for the hat, ear muffs, bow and facial features on the first two and the last one I stamped with my Peachy Keen snowman face stamp and stazon ink.  This worked great, just let it dry.  I colored the nose with stickles.  I used ribbon for the scarfs and added a name.  I will put the year on the back since my grandkids gets ornaments each year from us.
For the wine lovers, this is a wine cork.  I think they also sell acrylic ones too, but this is metal.  I took my picture and noticed it was the back side, but I will show you the finished on the front.  I did cover the back as well.
I used glitter vinyl and added an intial.  One of my daughter in laws took her home and I will give one to my other one next week when  see them.  Make nice gifts to add with a bottle of wine.
This last one is pony tail holders.  These can be decorated anyway you want and very durable.  They sell in several colors.
I just used vinyl and cut snowflakes and added a gem on it.  Love how wintery it is.  My granddaughter Katie will like it.
Just added a name to another one and ready for a easy gift.  I will be back Tuesday with a full project and will get working to make sure my things are done with Christmas coming so fast.  My shopping is done, but not the wrapping and two parties this week!  Enjoy your weekend and see you soon!

A Few Gifts To Share

Hello! I am starting to feel a little better so I got in a little crafting to share with you today. Still time to make some awesome gifts and today all the blanks can be purchased at Punch Place Plus.  I love this company and they have some awesome products and today I am sharing a few.  You can visit their site by clicking on the link on my side bar_______________________________>
This first gift is a Post it Note holder.  These are blank and you can add your own decoration and whatever color post it note and match it to any decor.
I did a couple to share.  Any of these projects I am sharing can be done with any die cutting machine and I used both Cricut Explore and Silhouette Cameo.  The first one is done with vinyl and I just cut
the word notes with the Brannbol font from Dafont.com   The pink and black is done with fabric duck tape.  I found it at Walmart and it works great.  I just added some ribbon and now it will make a cute gift for a friend!

The next project is one that all girls can use and I know my two granddaughters will like them.  These headbands come in many colors and I used HTV and my heat press .  For the blue one I used a cat paw svg I had and the font was Sports World from Dafont and the pink one the soccer ball was a svg and the Sports World font.  I used the Cricut Explore on theses.
Love these shirts for the 18 inch dolls and they also have the headbands.  The shirts come in 5 colors and the headbands in 6 colors.
My little granddaughter is getting her first big American Girl doll and I made her this shirt which is her school shirt and she has a headband to match.  I used the Shamrock from Paper Doll Dress Up and I totally forgot what font I used...duh, brain is still foggy!

This last project is using a Burlap Pillow Cover.  These are very nice and measure 15 x 15 .  Great quality and for this project I did a Christmas Pillow, but will be making some others for my room.
I used some HTV and my heat press and this is a design from the Silhouette Store.  Hope you enjoyed these gift ideas and I have a few more to share with you in time for the holidays so stayed turned.  Head over to Punch Place Plus and get some goodies!!!!!

A Little Frozen Review

Happy Saturday! Today I am reviewing the new release in Cricut Design Space of the Frozen cartridge.  Right now this is only available through Design Space, but should be in cartridge form in January or abouts.  Due to an unexpected being out of town a couple days, I did not get as many projects completed as I planned.  While I do love the cartridge, I feel (my opinion only) that this is more for print and cut.  The first thing I did is cut out some cardstock  images.
I cut Olaf at 6.5 inches and he was no problem putting together at all.  So next I cut Elsa at 6.5 and no way could I even see some of the pieces and they were so small they did not cut good even after trying several different cardstocks.  I jumped to 9 inches and she did better, but the mouth and eyes and the stars in her hair were still very tiny.  Lost the mouth and colored in the stars lol. The snowflakes were cut at 2.5 inches and some little pieces, but I managed to get them together.  The title was cut at 8.5 and not an issue at all.  I think most things cut larger will work.
Here is a finished layout that I created using these cut outs and some Bo Bunny papers.
Next I made a floating ornament using vinyl and cut it out and put it on  clear craft plastic and put inside the ornament with some snow.  My snow stuck too much in front and I cut this at 2 inches and maybe should have gone down a little more.  No issues on vinyl.

Next I did a couple print then cut on printable vinyl and both Elsa and Anna were cut at 2 inches.  I love how the Cricut Explore prints then cuts.  It is so precise and easy to do.  The snowflakes were cut at .75 from vinyl and that was really small but I knew it would be too big otherwise.  My vote is that it is a great cartridge and I need to try paper cutting more images to see how they do.  This is kind of like our Princess cartridges with those small parts.  I know my little one will love these ornaments.  Please join me Tuesday for some more Christmas gift ideas.

Time for a little Lori Whitlock Christmas

Hello and welcome to Exploring Cricut and More. Today I am sharing three projects by one of my favorite designers, Lori Whitlock. Now we Cricut Explore users can purchase all her great files on her site at www.loriwhitlock.com I always loved the designs I got in the Silhouette Store and so now I can get them for my Cricut Explore too!  I did use the Explore on this projects.
This first card is so easy and only a few cuts to create this fun card.  This is the Santa Suit card and it is a A2 card.  If you do not want to purchase the design, you can create this by using some of your Cricut cartridges too!
Lori has some of the best cards in a box and I love this one.  It is called Santa Christmas Box Card.  I used some left over Christmas paper scraps for this and it folds to a A2 size.
I really love this 3D Santa Sleigh.  This is so easy and makes a great container for cookies or candies or even some sparkly bling gift!!!  Stop by her set and check it out.  I have heard from Punch Place Plus that they have the clear coasters back in stock.  You can click on the link on the side of my blog and check them out!!  Not too late to make some gifts!  I will be back on Saturday with my review of the new Frozen cartridge.

Just in time for gift giving!

Hello and welcome. Today I am so pleased to share with you some fun gift ideas using the fabulous products from Punch Place Plus. This is a super place to find blanks for your decorating needs.  They carry a fun assortment of burlap, acrylic, resin, fabric, and displays just ready for you to put your finishing touches on.  Be sure to sign up to get all the updates when the products are back in stock and especially when they have a great sale!!!  Jamie and Mike are super to work with and it is a pleasure for me to show what I did with a few of their goodies.  Next week I will have even more to share.  You need a few gifts and really can't spend alot? Well here are a few ideas for you.

Baby wipes just aren't for babies and I love they have these blank wipe cases and I can decorate it how I want!  I always use wipes while crafting because it never fails I have glue on me or ink of some kind.  I can pack this in my scrap bag when I got to a crop too!!
This is a simple chevron design with my monogram.  You can use any of your machines so you are not limited to one brand.  I used vinyl for this project.  These would be so cute done up for a baby gift too.
We all need a mirror in our purse, but wouldn't it look great to personalize it for a friend!  These are metal and open up and have two mirrors inside.  I decorated the front with my inital and then decorated the back.  I might make some for gifts.

Now we have another idea.  Sorry camera flash left a light on these.  It has been dark and gloomy all day and raining so even with good lighting pictures still are not super.  These are name plates.  They have them in a variety of colors.
I took one and added some chalkboard vinyl to it and would be great to put on a holiday table as a marker for your food.  Erase it off and use it again.
I did make a cute name plate out of it and I have a little one who will love it!  I used glitter vinyl and cut her name out with my Cricut Explore and used a font I had on the computer.  Cut some little flowers and then added some flat back resin flowers that are pictured below.  I used some E6000 glue.
These flat back resins come in two sizes and assorted colors.  They also carry some beautiful gems too.
This is a gold cuff bracelet.  They have clear and colors available too.  These are really great looking and I can think of a couple ideas for these, but just did something quick because I was short on time and this one was a last minute project.
I just added some of the resin flowers and now I have a festive bracelet.

This last project today is some acrylic coasters.  These come in a set of 4 with the little rubber stops for the back so that they do not mar your table.
I used 651 vinyl and this monogram was from the Silhouette store.  The lighting on the first one is not good, but I placed this on the back of the coaster.  I love how these turned out and had a couple people want some.  I hope you have enjoyed my little gift ideas and head over to Punch Place Plus and check out all the goodies and tell them I sent you!!!!  See you Thursday with another share.  Till then, happy crafting!
