Happy New Year's Eve

Happy New Year's Eve. Well today we are closing out 2015 and I am sharing a couple projects with you today.  Last week I wanted to work on a layout, but didn't have the time so this week I made sure I got one done.  One of my New Years resolutions is to try to make more time to scrapbook and get my trips we took in 2015 completed before we start our journey to new adventures this next year.  While I am still sorting through the hundreds of Disney pictures to get printed, I made this adorable layout using svg files from PPBN Designs.  I picked bright colors for this one and can't wait to put photos on it.  You use to have to be a member to buy her files, but she has opened it up now to everyone.  Be sure to click on the link and check out all her great designs.  If you love to scrapbook, then you will love her layout kits.  She has lost her father this week and our prayers are with Nikki and her family. If the site has not been opened to the public yet, just book mark it because she is planning on doing it, but with the loss she may have not done it.   I created this with my Cricut Explore.
Well it is New Year's Eve and normally hubby and I just enjoy a dinner out and come home and stay in, but this year we are going to Ohio and visit with family.  We are still doing a home party, but will be super fun.  Since I am the photographer and scrapbooker, I have made some cute photo props and will share the few I have ready.  The cute glasses are a FREE svg file this week so go and snag it.  These are all designs from Myscrapchick  Easy to make and I can't wait to finish these so I can take with me.  Enjoy your night and be safe.  I will be seeing you next week.  Have lots of cleaning and taking Christmas down when I get home and time for some purging too.  This year I didn't receive any crafting tools and supplies other than gift cards, but only because I need nothing!!!!!See you soon!

Happy Christmas Eve

My intentions were good this week, but ended up not being able to get any scrapping done! Will try for next week, but still wanted to share a couple more projects with you today. I hope you are all ready for Santa's big day for all the little ones.  Our grandchildren are growing up so fast, but we still have one little one so it is still magical for her.  The older ones get excited too.  Today I am sharing some package ideas for you.  Still time to whip these up if you need too.  This first one is a tree tag and it is from Dreaming Tree and the website is www.3dsvg.com  This is on their website for free so go and grab it.  I did all these projects with the Cricut Explore, but you can use any of your die cutting machines that you can cut svgs with.  So easy to make and will make your packages sparkle.

This cute little santa bow is from Lori Whitlock at www.loriwhitlock.com or I also think it is available at Digi Playground www.digiplayground.com too.  He is so cute and easy to make and adorns a package perfectly.  I just ran the white parts through my Cuttlebug to add some dimension.
This last box is also from Dreaming Tree and it is part of the set called O Christmas Tree.  This was much bigger than I thought it would be and was perfect for a gift.  It was not hard at all.  In that set you will find 4 other adorable boxes.  I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and the happiest season ever!  May the joy of being with family and friends surround you in the next few days and if you know anyone getting a new machine for Christmas, be sure to send them here to Exploring Cricut.

Some Last Minute Christmas Crafts

Hello and welcome to Exploring Cricut and More. Today I am sharing some last minute crafts to help with your Christmas packaging. I love to decorate my packages with homemade tags and embellishments.  Today I am sharing a couple Poinsettias I made for my gifts.  These were made with the Cricut Explore and can also be made with the Silhouette Cameo or other cutting machines.  I only work with these two so that is all I know how to work.  These beautiful flowers come from SVGCuts and they are from the 3D Wintergreen set.
I made this one with the shiny glimmer cardstock in white.  I also put them together using a brad instead of gluing them together and I could move the petals around the way I wanted them.  They made a beautiful addition to my package for my hair stylist!
For the second one I chose another design from that set and I did glue this one together and added a jewel in the center of it.  I glued it to the ribbon and now my package for my friend looks wonderful.  Be sure to check out these designs at www.svgcuts.com
My older kids get money for Christmas, but I like to put it a nice little box.  Today I am sharing a couple I made with the Silhouette Cameo.  I purchased these files in the Silhouette store but Cricut lovers can  purchase the first one Santa Pillow Box #107836 at the Silhouette Store or at www.digiplayground.com  The second one is Santa Claus Gift Box #70569 at the Silhouette store or at www.loriwhitlock.com   I hope you liked these projects today and if you did, please give me a shout out!!!
On a personal note, I had the most amazing time on my Disney Vacation.  I am very tired since we just got back, but will rest up this week.  All the shopping is done and a few things to wrap and we call it done!!!!  Lots and lots of pictures to go through.  Scrapbooking is on my to do list for 2016!!!

A Few Projects

Hello and welcome to Exploring Cricut. Today I am sharing some shirts I created for family members. They wanted their favorite sayings from one of their favorite movies, Elf.  I bought the sayings from the Silhouette store and the elf feet.  I just mixed different images to create this shirts.  I know that they will have fun wearing these for Christmas parties.  I used my Silhouette Cameo.  The black shirt is made by creating shapes and fonts on my computer.  My brother showed me a picture of a shirt he saw on the internet and wanted me to make it for a friend.  I was able to create it so close to the picture and I was so pleased with it.  I will see you again next week.  Today as you are reading this, I am on a plane heading to the happiest place on earth!!!!  See you soon.

A Magical Christmas

As I prepare to go on my trip next week, my friend Nikki at PPBN Designs released the members files for November for her club. She just got back from taking her family to Disney and created this adorable layout. Since this is my destination, I decided to hurry and get it made up.  Nothing better than sharing a little Christmas at Disney.  She always has some great layouts and other cuts.  I did this layout with the Cricut Explore and if you decide to check her great site out and want this layout, you will need to know that those two packages with stripes are a bare to cut out.  It is hard to tell but they have several small stripes so be sure to use custom settings and use the intricate cut for these.  Can't tell you how many I ruined till I changed the setting. Now I can't wait to take the perfect pictures for this page!  I will get busy this weekend to get my project for next week ready before I leave!  Till next week, Happy Scrappin!

Happy Thanksgiving and a share

Welcome to Exploring Cricut and More. I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and share lots of good food, love and joy with the people you love! Today I am not sharing a project I created with either Silhouette Cameo or the Cricut Explore.  Recently when HSN released the beautiful Gold Explore (which I completely ignored), I purchased the Anna Griffin Christmas Card set.  The box was so beautiful and all the cards and embellishments were fabulous.  You could make 50 cards and they were pop up cards.  I am sharing just a few with you today.  I couldn't believe how much stuff was in this box! Lots of verses and beautiful details.  I am sure there will be leftovers for other cards or scrapbook pages.  See you next week with some scrapbook pages.

Oops! Finally!

Sorry for a day late on this post, but our internet provider decided to do work in our area so we were without service for 24 hours. Plus I think my crazy router is ready to be replaced!! Better late than never.  This week I have been working on gifts for customers so I can get them out of the way before Thanksgiving and our trip to Disney.  After Christmas I will be posting more and trying to catch up on all my scrapbooking.  I am behind in about 4 trips we have taken this year and another one next month so lots to do while we decide on 2016 destinations!  Ok, I am sharing a casserole dish that my husband and I etched.  He enjoys working with the air eraser so I let him have at it.  This design is from MyVinylDesigner and it is a chevron rectangle frame.  This comes in a set with several different frames.  I just added From the kitchen of_____________I put my watermark over just in case the lady is a crafter and might stumble on it on Pinterest.  I made one for my little granddaughters teacher last year and her sister in law loved it, so she had me make one for her.  I am also making glass trivets for her too!  The air eraser gives you a much better etch than using the cream.  We bought ours at Harbor Freight.  I just used a font on my computer.  I did this with my Silhouette Cameo because I had the design on that software, but can be done with Cricut Explore too.
This second project is Santa bag.  I am selling these personalized and I still have a few if any of my readers are interested.  I sell them for $20 and you can have a child or children's name, family name. business or anything else you want on it.  I use glitter vinyl and use a heat press.  This is one for my granddaughter.  They are 19 x 27 and made of heavy canvas with a draw string.  Perfect for Santa to leave gifts in.  You can reach me by email.  These are going fast and I am down to my last 12.  I have a few more projects to work on and then get ready for my trip.  I did really good at my Christmas bazaar.  The big sellers were ornaments, earrings, key chains, and the charger plates I showed last week.  Till next week, have a super weekend.

Still Working on the Bazaar and a few shares!

Welcome. Been a busy week for me and still have a few more of those to go. I am almost ready for the Christmas Bazaar at my granddaughters school this Saturday. I only have a few more items to finish unless I decide on making something else.  I will share a couple things with you today along with a layout that I was working on last week.
This layout is made with the Turkey Time Kit from PPBN Designs.  I belong to her club which is only $5 a month and you get tons of files along with a terrific discount on all her other items.  Well worth the membership.  I did add one of her Fall borders on this page too.  All kits are ready to cut and assemble.  I made this and all these projects in the Cricut Explore that I am sharing.
I made this countdown charger using snowflakes from Cricut and I am sorry I forgot to write down which snowflake and the cartridge.  The circles were just in the shapes and they are small.  I used chalkboard vinyl I got from Justforcrafters.com   They have really fast shipping and are in my state.  The font for the Days till Christmas is called Oliver and I got it at Dafont.com for free!!!
This plate is designed with a file I purchased from MyVinylDesigner.com   I love their files and you do not have to purchase a commercial license to sell.
This is a Doll shirt that will fit the American Girl and other 18 inch dolls. I get the shirts from PunchPlace Plus and you can go to them by hitting the button on the right side of my blog. I designed these for my granddaughters school and I include the headband.  I am cheap so to hang these, I made my own hanger using a hanger in one of the cartridges and cutting it from chipboard.  I glue two pieces of chipboard together and then some pattern paper on top.  I saved money and of course, I have to travel to buy doll hangers.  It works!!!  Well enjoy your weekend and I know I am looking forward to some rest and then back to scrapbooking!  I just got in tons of pictures from our last trip and we have another one coming next month!  See you next week.

Time For a Few Projects!

Hello and welcome to Exploring Cricut and More. Today I have a few projects to share. The weather here was cloudy and dark today and my pictures are not so great especially my layout. I tried so many ways, but still not super. I guess I need one white room in my house with lots of lights. Will have to work on that!!  I am doing a craft show next Saturday along with a really busy week.  I think I have one day that is not tied up, but will be working on things.  This first little ornament is a cute snowman cheerleader I got from my favorite place Punch Place Plus.  Be sure to check them out and you can get there by hitting the button on the right side of this blog.  This bazaar is at my little granddaughters school so I made cheerleaders with the school colors.  These are made of vinyl.  Love all their cute things and they also have the fastest shipping too!  You will see more things from them too.

I made this charger plate for my table and was going to put a bow on it, but have decided against it and going to totally redo the whole thing tomorrow when my vinyl order comes in.  I will just adjust the size to fit this charger.  I might see how my bow looks first.  Ran out of time today. I got the charger at Walmart.
This layout is really pretty and the picture does it no justice at all.  I used some papers in my stash, but the swirls and the Merry Christmas was done with gold glitter paper I ordered from Anna Griffin on HSN when they had the gold Explore.  This glitter cardstock cut wonderfully.  Hard to see the swirls and all the cuts are from Teresa Collins December 25 digital.  All of these were done with the Cricut Explore.  I will probably not post again till next Thursday unless I find some extra time.  Dr out of town Monday so that day is shot and all week kind of like that, but will get some projects ready that I am making for the craft show.  I hope to have this cute Thanksgiving layout completed too.  Have a super weekend and happy crafting.

Time for a Project

Well if anything can go wrong, it does for me lol.We got home from the best vacation in the Smoky Mountains and I got everything unpacked and washed up the next day.  Late that afternoon, I doubled over in the worse pain ever.  I was up the entire night with severe pain, but not issues.  The next day I slept in between burst of pain .  By the 3rd day I knew something major was going on.  Nothing in my stomach but was so sick.  That night my hubby took me to the hospital and they did lots of tests and gave me an iv because of course I was dehydrated.  They said I had a bad virus.  Well this was the weekend so I couldn't back to Dr till Monday.  He said there are so many strains of viruses this year and I just happen to get a bad one.  I am in my 9th day and I think I might make it, but so weak.  Now you know why I was away longer than I said, and will be for a few more days till I can get over this nasty stuff!!!
I have a layout to share with you using SVG files from PPBN Designs.  This is the Easter Fun kit.  She has gone to membership, but let me tell you what you get for the membership.  For $10 a month, you get 30 single images, 15 scrapbook kits and 4 Exclusives sets not available to the public and a huge discount on anything in her store.  If you have any questions, please ask me.  I don't work for her, but love her scrapbook pages!  Click on the name above and it will take you there.  She is the only one who makes scrapbook kits like this!!!!  Tell her I sent you!  See you next week when I can stay up longer than 2 hours.

Sorry for the long time away....

Hello Friends!
Seems like forever I have posted on the blog and when I looked at the last post, it has been!  I decided to take some time away from daily crafting and enjoy the summer.  That doesn't mean my machines were idle at all!!!  Hubby and I have been doing lots of traveling and enjoying the freedom of the beautiful summer weather we have been having which I will hate to see go away.  We are leaving on another trip today and might be the last one till December when we go to Disney!  I will be back next week with some posts and some shares.  Hope you have had the best summer ever!!!

Time to add some dimension to your projects!

Today I am sharing another fun project using the Cricut Explore and also I am using the Cuttlebug. It is fun to add some dimension to your scrap pages or cards using this fun machine!  Did you know that you could use other dies and folders out on the market with your Cuttlebug?  A friend of Exploring Cricut and More, Ben Adler has shared some valuable information with us and also has a pdf print out for you too!  I will be giving you all the information after I share this card I made today.  Monday was my baby granddaughters 6th birthday and of course, both my precious granddaughters are Princesses to us.  I used the Princess Castle card file from SVG Cuts Box cards set.  This was a quick and easy card.  Now the bad thing was, I forgot to take a picture of her card, so I made another one lol.
I like adding dimension so I used my Cuttlebug and as you can see I am using the original one!
I did the pieces in a chevron zig zag pattern and then I inked the edges with a darker color.
This is the folder I used and it is a Sizzix from Stampin Up so that you can see what I used.
This is the finished card adding a little bling for some added decoration.  Ben has shared this wonderful and detailed sandwich technique by going to http://personaldiecutting.com/cuttlebug-sandwich-guide  He has step by step with photos to show you.  He has also sent me the PDF to print out  http://personaldiecutting.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Cuttlebug-Sandwich-Guide.pdf  Big shout out and thanks for sharing with us today!!!

Layout Tuesday

Hello and welcome. Back and rested up from another little mini adventure. This time we didn't stray too far from home, but still had a good time. We went back to my hometown in Ohio for a reunion and then went to Cleveland and enjoyed the sites. My favorite was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Getting ready to get those pictures printed soon so there will be layout coming. We also visited a little in Amish country and then back to my hometown again for another visit with family and some shopping at the outlet mall. We might do another mini adventure next month close to home, but undecided at this time.
Now for the layout for Layout Tuesday. This week my projects will be made with the Cricut Explore.  For this layout, I used files from PPBN Designs called Ticket to Ride.  If you are a scrap booker like me, you will love all her wonderful designs.  This is a club and when you join you will get images and scrap book page kits you cut.  Well worth the small amount you pay monthly, plus you can purchase all her past layouts at a reduced rate!!!  Click the link above and check it out.  For this layout, I used CTMH pattern papers, cardstock, and ink.  Love how this turned out!!!  Join me later this week for another project and I will be using another great tool besides my Cricut Explore and a friend of mine is sharing some valuable information for you too!

Time for a Pool Party!

Hello! Today I am sharing another layout using the Silhouette Cameo and PPBN Designs files. As I have said many times, I love these files because they make it so easy to create great pages.  The background paper is some older Bo Bunny in my stash.  I have been trying to use up some of my thousands of papers!  Haven't made a dent yet lol.  I will be gone for a little while getting ready for a yard sale (yuck!) and a trip coming up.  Have a fabulous weekend and see you soon!

Birthday Girl for Layout Tuesday

Hello and welcome. This week I will be creating projects with the Silhouette Cameo. You know how you plan things and then get a monkey wrench thrown in, well that happen with my creating, but I did manage to get this finished in time for the post. I had everything cut and ready for this weeks projects and we were to have a crop Friday night and then we had to cancel at the last minute. But instead of me going home and working on what I needed to do, I played hooky and we rode around all weekend.  It was hard getting pictures because of the dark clouds and rain most of the day.  For this layout, I used files called Birthday Girl from PPBN Designs.  You can get her files in the Silhouette online store or my Cricut Explore users and svg users  can join her club on her site.  She has clubs to fit any needs.  Great prices and wonderful designs too.  The background paper and cardstock was from Hobby Lobby.  See you soon with another project. I will be working today!!

A Little Disney on Ice

I am finally finish with the Disney on Ice for my oldest granddaughters album. I knew I took way too many pictures, but wanted this to me a great memory that we shared together.  For this layout I used my Cricut Explore and the cartridges Tinkerbell and Friends and Stamping.  The two Tinkerbell figures were done with the Print then Cut feature which I love for these because they are just plain hard to get the eyes right.  The title is from the same cartridge, but I did cut it out.  The daisy border is from the Stamping cartridge and I added purple and green stickles to the center.  Sorry this picture is kind of dark, but I thought I had already taken the picture and when I looked on my camera, I hadn't and it was already dark out and the light cast too many shadows so this is the best I could get.  I will be back next week with a couple projects created with the Silhouette Cameo and then I will take off a week for a little trip.  Have a super weekend and enjoy the sunshine!

Layout Tuesday with Cricut Explore

Happy June!  Hello and hope you all had a fabulous weekend. The weather was beautiful here and we had a great drive on both Saturday and Sunday. Went and had great dinner and relaxed! Today I am sharing a layout with you created with the Cricut Explore and several images from different cartridges. Next week my hubby and I are planning a little trip so this will be the page when we leave on our next road trip.  For the Interstate sign, I used Summer Vacation, Road trip is from Going Places, Suit Case is from Pack Your Bags and the keys are from Locker Talk.  The little car is a svg because Cricut didn't have one close to my little car we like to take our trips in.  Hope you like this and I can't wait to add a second page with a destination!!!  I will share that in the future.  See you later this week.

Teen Boy Birthday with Silhouette Cameo

Hello. Hope you are all having a crafty week! Today I am sharing this wallet card.  My sweet grandson turned 17 this month and teen boys are hard to make cards for.  I decided to make a wallet card and put his cash into it.  I used the Silhouette Cameo and files #50422 Money Wallet and file#13614 Happy Birthday.  I did finish off the inside with a verse on one side, but not in the picture.  this was a quick and easy card to make and could be made for a girl with the right patterns and some glitz!!!  Next week I will be doing some projects with the Cricut Explore.  I am still waiting on my pictures to arrive in the mail and will get busy scrapping.  Have a super week and happy scrappin!

Layout Tuesday with the Silhouette Cameo

Hello and welcome. Hope everyone enjoyed a safe and happy Memorial Day. This week I will be sharing projects that I will be creating using my Silhouette Cameo. I love both my Cameo and my Cricut Explore and find I have so many uses for them both!  Recently we took a quick trip to Chicago that my husband didn't like and wanted out quickly so I only have a few pictures which should be here this week.  At dinner last night he thought that maybe he didn't give Chicago a fair chance and decided we would go back in the Fall.  This layout is for the Navy Pier pictures.  This was created using only one file, but this file has 4 different images.  It is called Nautical Monograms #79263 from the Silhouette store .  I used just two of them and the lettering was the Bolton Font and Arial fonts.  The background paper came from Michaels and I thought it would be perfect.  Later this week I will be sharing a perfect card for a teen boy or girl if you change up the colors.  Have a super crafty week!!!!

New Cartridge From Cricut

One of the great things with having the Cricut Explore is having a subscription to Design Space.  I like getting to try out the new cartridges that are included. The license ones are not included, but everything else is and that includes the new Simple Pop Up Cards cartridge.  I first tried the Make It Now Happy Birthday Pop Up card.  This was really simple and makes a cute card to have on hand.  I do plan on adding something to the front of the card, but time got in the way.  I can see so many possibilities to these pop up cards.  The second one was the Thanks card.  Another easy one and with so many possibilities on colors and what you can add to the front of the card.  The envelopes are included making this a complete project.  Check out this fun cartridge today!  I will see you again next week for some more projects!

Layout Tuesday with Cricut Explore

Hello and welcome. Layout Tuesday was created with the Cricut Explore and Print and cut Snow White and Prince from Happily Ever After. The title was cut with a svg file from PPBN Designs. I also used the Lattice Border from Ribbon and Rosettes cartridge.  These pictures were from Disney on Ice that I am finishing for my oldest granddaughter.  We had a short trip last weekend to Chicago and got a few pictures.  It rained and hubby didn't like it there so we left.  Next trip is in the planning stages now!  See you later this week!

Fun with Vinyl

Happy Thursday! I really enjoyed this week and now my husband thinks I might vinyl everything! lol  I did two of my toilets and my washer and dryer.  These were done with the Silhouette Cameo and files from the Silhouette Store.
This first one is monogram K and is file #59334 from Lori Whitlock.  I love this one and used it before.
This design is one of three in the set from Kolette Hall and is file#69253.  It is a nice design that would be great on mailboxes too!
Now this on my washer and dryer are not purchased, but I loved the saying so "borrowed" it and used fonts on my computer to make it.  Love how vinyl can personalize your home too!  Thanks for sharing today with me and now I am heading on another little trip this weekend, unknown location right now, so see you next week.  Special shout out to my grandson Cameron, Happy 17th Birthday!!!

Layout Tuesday

Hello and welcome. This week all the projects will be created using the Silhouette Cameo. I will be featuring both of my machines and giving each one a week of great projects. This layout is created with files from the Silhouette Online store.  I found lots of great images for my recent vacation.  Join me Thursday for some vinyl ideas.  I am waiting for a few more things to arrive and then I will share my blog that I sell some of my gift ideas with you.

A Little Thursday Fun!

Happy Thursday! Today I am sharing a layout with you from my recent trip. We visited St. Louis and the City Garden in downtown is so beautiful. I used my Cricut Explore and the Bloom cartridge.  I loved the flowers on this cartridge.  I did use the Silhouette to cut the title with the Bolton font.  I just wanted to show some of the beautiful statues and flowers.
I was asked by a few to show my little sports car that my husband got me.  I love it and have the top down as much as possible.  This was taken when I picked it up.  Been driving so much that I haven't take anymore yet!  Now you see why my crafting time will be limited for summer!!!!
