Bits and Pieces Cartridge Review and the end #31

One thing I really like about having the subscription in Design Space, is trying some of the new releases. The only ones not included in the subscription are the licensed cartridges.  Recently, the Bits and Pieces was released and when I looked at it, I thought it was something I wouldn't need to purchase.  So I decided to take another look and see what it had to offer and I was really surprised at the envelopes, cards, and tags along with images that were included.  Today I am just showing you a few examples of what I found.  This first one is called an envelope and insert.  I made this about a 5 x 7 size and I really love how easy it was.

When I did the insert, I just copied and made it a little smaller and in white and just cut the top of it off and attached to the main card as seen in the picture below.  I found this cute little flower on the cartridge and added it to the front.  These would make super invitations or just thank you cards.
Next I did a tag and the bow envelope.  The tag design reminded me of animal print and I will be using this on a zoo page to put the date.  I could have made it bigger and wrote on it.  The envelope was made fun with the bow designed on it.  These were super easy.
The last example is also a tag.  I made this one a little larger and will journal on it.  I just added some ribbon on the ends, but so many possibilities.  Check out this cartridge today because I really think you will like it.  I know I found so many things I would use that it would be worth it to purchase.
Now for my layout #31. I used the Cricut Explore and svg files from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I have really enjoyed doing this challenge and got so much accomplished and very glad I did.  I am a person when I start something, I finish.  I love the Facebook group and if you like to scrapbook, check it out.  It is called Scrapbook Layouts.  Now to get started reorganizing this room and I will be back on Tuesday for Layout Tuesday so have a fabulous Super Bowl Weekend!!!

I will be glad to take a couple days and get this room reorganized and find the floor. Way too many paper scraps in here and I looked and it is going down the steps too...messy me!  This layout was completed with my Cricut Explore and I used svg files from Kadoodlebug Designs.  I love all their adorable designs so be sure to check them out.  Join me tomorrow with my last layout and a cartridge review which I am not sure of at the moment, but something newer.  Thanks for joining me today.

Product Review and Layout # 29

Hello and welcome to my Thursday daily project. Last week I showed you some cool acrylic products from my friends at Punch Place Plus. Today I want to show you another item that I love.
This is the 2 inch round disc and you can just let your imagination take over and create with this fun piece.  Be sure to check out the other sizes and colors these come in too.  Today I have used the white glitter one.  I loved working with this disc and hope you like the few little items I am sharing today.

This is probably my favorite and will be wearing this to cheer on my favorite team.  I used the glitter vinyl on it and just made the UK with my Cricut Explore.  I also made the earrings to match.  I used the paw last week in some of my designs.
I made my friend Emily a key chain in her school colors.  I covered the disc with orange vinyl and just cut the panther head.  I put her name on the other side of it.
Well I had to make myself a key chain in my favorite color of red and love the design.  Just added my intials and I am ready to go.  Just click on the side bar and go straight to the Punch Place Plus site.

Now I am sharing my #29 layout.  I used the Cricut Explore and the cartridges Creative Cards, Cricut Font, and Mickey and Friends

Layout #28 and the end is near!

Happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing layout #28. Just a few more and I will have completed the month long challenge!!! I am really glad I did it too because I have made a big dent in both of the granddaughters albums.  Love spending more time in my craftroom and if we get some snow like they are predicting this weekend, I will be having more fun!  This layout was created with Cricut Explore and Miss Kate Cuttables svg files.  I cut the title at 7.5 inches, cake at 5.5 inches, and balloons at 2 inches.  I got the paper at Hobby Lobby and the cardstock was from CTMH.  I will be here on Thursday sharing another layout, but also will show you what I created using a plain 2 inch acrylic disc from my friends at Punch Place Plus.

Layout Tuesday with Disney

Hello and welcome to Layout Tuesday. Today my layout is made using the Disney Dreams Come True cartridge.  I believe when Cricut made theses cartridges, they had in mind they would be doing Print then Cut feature.  I normally do not use it, because I love pieces them together, but sometimes you just have to use it.  For this layout, it was a must.  Those little eyes are buggers and so to keep myself from cursing, I gave in! lol  I did cut the title which I cut at 8 inches, added some stickles for some bling.  Sorry picture is dark, but best I could do with cloudy snowy day.  I used the Print then Cut feature on Ariel who is cut at 5.5 inches, Sebastien cut at 4 inches and little Flounder cut at 3.5 inches.  Added a little glitz to make them pop.  I have a cheap HP printer that came with my laptop and it does fine.  The paper is some I had in my stash from Best Creations and I thought it was perfect for these Disney on Ice pictures.  I used the Cricut Explore of course.  This is also layout #27.

Thinking Spring with layout #26

It's Monday.....nothing much else to say! Hope you had a great weekend. My husband had basketball games to referee so I got some crafting time.  Today is layout #26 and I wanted to do something Spring.  I did do this with the Silhouette Cameo because I had already purchased this in the Silhouette Store, but this is a Lori Whitlock design and you will find this on her website and called Four Seasons Layout and cut with the Cricut Explore.  Click on her name to take you to her blog.  Everything is perfect for wonderful Spring pictures.  I am not sure where I got the pattern paper because it was in my stash and had no name on it.  The cardstock is CTMH.  Now I just have to get the pictures out and another set done for the little ones book.  Join me tomorrow for Layout Tuesday when I have a cute layout using some Print then Cut images.

Happy Sunday and Layout #25

Well just a few more layouts and I will have completed this 31 day challenge. I wasn't sure I would be able to keep it up and I think making myself post here and commit where you all can see, has helped. I have looked at the box of the girls pages and I am amazed how much I got done. I might get each of them a year done within no time! Today's layout doesn't have the pictures on it yet, but rushing here to finish. For layout #25 I used the Cricut Explore and this is a scrap page set I purchased from PPBN Designs called Just Beachy.  I have so many of her marvelous scrapbook pages and now Nikki has a scrapbook page club so check it out.  I used some pattern paper that was in a stack and I am not sure what stack since the color came off.  I also used Michaels cardstock, some ribbon and inks.  I love how this turned out.  Join me tomorrow with another layout and this one I am making with the Silhouette Cameo since is lonely and I like to use both machines.  Hope your weekend was awesome, some snow here, but nothing major, just cold!!!  Old bones do not do good in cold!  See you tomorrow.

Cartridge Review and Layout #24

Hello and welcome to Saturday cartridge review. Today I am reviewing Creative Everyday Cards cartridge. I don't make a lot of cards, but never buy one so I like quick and easy.  Today I have done 3 cards for you and added my own little touches to them.  I am also showing you my layout for day #24 too.
From the Creative Everyday Cards, this is the thank you card.  I used all CTMH papers for all these cards and my friend Emily just gave me the pattern cardstock for my birthday and I totally love it!  For this card, I embossed the front with my Cuttlebug and used the CTMH Quartrefoil Embossing folder.  I just did the front.  I added the embellishements and added dots of stickles.
Here is a closer look at the card front.
This card is the Happy Birthday.  I picked the pink gingham cardstock for the card base and used the other side for the envelope so that the gingham was on the inside.
I used pop dots and made the front pop up to give a dimension look and added stickles.
                                                    Front of the card.
For the last card, I did the Good Luck card.  This was an odd shape card and envelope, but I really liked it.
I also added pop dots and stickles to make it stand out.
Here is my layout #24.  I used the Cricut Explore and I used Country Life cartridge for the title and I used svg files from SVG Attic for the the farm.  I loved these cute images and when you print out the directions, it tells you what size to make your items which is so easy.  Not sure where I got the cloud pattern paper, it was something I had from my store.  Join me tomorrow for another layout and I hope you have enjoyed the review today.

TGIF Layout #23

Happy Friday! I know you are glad for the weekend, but going to be cold here in my part of Kentucky and they say maybe some snow. I hope it is about like we have had so far, just a dusting!  I love this page I am sharing today for my #23 layout.  I used my Cricut Explore and svg files from Miss Kate Cuttables.  When I saw the mini golf, I knew I had some cute pictures.  For the title I cut it 6.5 inches, windmill cut 5 .5 inches, score card 3 inches, I plan to journal there, the club 6 inches and the balls 1 inch.  I just used cardstock on this one.  Now another one set for my album.  Join me tomorrow for my Saturday cartridge review and my #24 layout.

A Wonderful Product Review and layout #22

Hello Today I have a large blog post with lots of pictures. I am sharing with you some of the wonderful products that my friends over to Punch Place Plus sell. Whether you own a Cricut Explore, Cameo, or any other cutting machine, you will love the blank products they sell that you can personalize.  Today I am sharing their stretch headbands, cuff bracelets, pony tail holders and earrings in the neon colors of orange, pink, yellow and green.  To visit their site, go to the sidebar on the right hand side and hit the button and it will take you there. I know you will love their wonderful products and they have wonderful shipping and customer service!
I love the bright colors and these are perfect for spring and think of the ideas you can come up with!!!
                                                  Don't you love these colors!

Bracelets and Pony tail holders are so easy to work with.
These earrings are the best!  Now let me show you what I created.
I love the green and the light was shining so the colors of the headbands may look off in the finished pictures, but the true colors are above.  I did a couple sets in the local schools in my area.  My little one goes to a private school and I did these representing her school.  I used both the Cricut and Cameo for all these projects and the earrings are a .63 size on both machines so start with a circle and then you can add what you would like.  On the green, I used white vinyl and just cut the shamrock out.  I used my head press on the headband.  Of course, I gave these to my little one.
The orange set is for my friend Emily.  She teaches at another school and she will be all ready for spirit day at her school.  I added a panther paw to the earrings and on the bracelet I added a panther head that I found on the interest and made into a file.  I love how these turned out.
This next set I went for a Spring theme and the headband is really pink, but looks lighter because of the sun.  I just cut daisies for the headband and the earrings are bunnies and the bracelet has Easter eggs.  The pony tail holder shows in the next picture, but I used jewel trim and took a bunny brad and cut the metal pieces off and attached it with E6000 glue.
                                                           He is so cute!!!!!!
I went a little retro on the yellow set.  I didn't do anything with the headband, added peace signs to the earrings and added little flat back gems to the bracelet and pony tail holder.

I am also not forgetting to share with you my #22 layout.  I used the Cricut Explore and -PPBN Designs Fun in the Sun svg set.

Layout #21.....

Happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing layout #21. This month will soon be over and I can't believe how much I have gotten done. As you noticed, I am not doing anything in any particular order, but I do normally scrap that way. I just wanted to make sure that I showed lots of different styles and themes during this challenge since I am posting to my blog as well. Personally, I think I might continue this for myself, but I will not bore you with daily postings after this month. I might throw some in during my regular posts or on the weekend. I really appreciate all the wonderful comments and emails I have received about my layouts. Please scrap lift any you want. I rarely scrap lift, but if I see something that I am totally in love with, I will grab that idea! We all lose our mojo sometimes. Now for today's layout.  I did use my Cricut Explore and svg files from Kadoodlebug Designs and I also used the Summer Celebrations Cricut cartridge.  Sometimes when using svg files in Design Space and the file is in pieces it is sometimes hard to figure the correct size......my bear is that!  I thought I had her 3.5 inches, but she ended up over 6 inches lol.  So because I do not feel like we make any mistakes, she became a focal on the second page.  The title cut at 5 inches and the bear are from Kadoodlebug Designs A Blasting 4th set.  The American Flag cut at 3.25 inches and the sparkler cut at 4 inches are from Summer Celebrations.  The pattern paper is some old Doodlebug Designs I had.  This has also been a good way to use up these older papers.  Join me tomorrow for my regular project, which is going to be a product review I think you will like and of course, a layout.   Have a crafty day!

Happy Sunday and layout #18

Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is wonderful. We had a sunny, 50 degrees in my part of Kentucky yesterday and I took off early and hit Michaels, Joann's and Hobby Lobby. I did find me some goodies, but they are all in the middle of doing inventory so things and people were hectic. I remember this time of year when I had my store, no fun!  Well today I am sharing layout #18.  I did this layout once before and gave it away in an album for charity and so glad I took a picture and wrote down what cartridges I used.  I even had one sheept of the pattern paper left.  For this layout I used my Cricut Explore and the cartridges Fancy Frames  for the frame cut at 6 inches, Create a Critter for the balloons cut at 3.75 inches, happy birthday cut at 5 inches, Simply Charmed for the hat cut at 3.5 inches, and Sweet Treats for the cupcake cut at 3.5 inches and packages 3.5 inches.  I forgot to write down what cartridge the number 3 was from but it is 4 inches.  The paper was from Forever in Time, I think this came from a dollar scrapbooking place I used to order from before it closed.  Cardstock is Michaels, stickles and ribbon.  I will see you tomorrow with another layout.

Home Organization Cartridge Review and #17 layout

Hello and welcome to the weekend! Hope you have some wonderful plans for the day.  I am planning on making a trip for supplies today (trip for me is 65 miles to closet store) and then some work.  My husband has to referee two ball games today in two different cities, so lots of travel for him and alone time for me.  Today I am so happy to share the new cartridge that was just released on Thursday called Home Organization and my #17 challenge layout.  If one of your resolutions was to get more organized, well Cricut has helped us out with this fabulous cartridge.  I am not sure anything is safe in the house now!!! I started working on a few things for my craft room.  I like things in special places, little OCD , but now they can be labeled with the help of my Cricut Explore and Home Organization cartridge.  I keep small pieces of ribbon in jars by color and my buttons in jars by color as well.
I decided to give them some cute little labels with this new cartridge and make them pop on the shelf!
For the ribbon jars, these came from Michaels, I used the labels and cut them at 2.25 inches to fit the jars and for these labels and letters, I used vinyl.  I had some pieces so I was able to use them up!
For the buttons, I didn't use the labels, just the words on these little jars and they are cut at 2.5 inches.  Now my little jars are all labeled.
I moved to start organizing some office supplies to keep in my craft area and used the labels on this plastic storage box.  These labels were cut at 4 inches.  I would have loved to play some more with it, but too many projects to get working on.  Remember if you take the subscription to CCR or Design Space, this is included.
This is my layout #17 for the challenge.  This was done with my Cricut Explore and the svg files from Miss Kate Cuttables called Welcome to the Zoo.  I also snagged this idea for the layout from Out On  A Limb scrapbooking Pinterest page.  It is hard to tell but I popped the heads of the animals up with pop dots like they are poking through the bars.  I cut the title at 5 inches, the animals at 3 inches, bambo at 8 inches, sun at 2.5 inches, clouds at 2.5 inches, and the grass at 1.5 inch.  The pattern paper is from Hobby Lobby and cardstock from Michaels.   I hope you enjoyed my projects today and I will be back to share a birthday layout with you tomorrow.
