I didn't make it.....

Well today you are expecting my usual cartridge review.  I started out figuring out what I was going to do in between painting and cleaning.  I settled on a cartridge and started working and  then got sick at my stomach.  Probably from all the paint fumes I have been inhaling this last couple days.  We have a few more projects in the works, so I might be away a little longer.  We have decided to stay at our house instead of selling it, but want to make some changes and my craft room will be getting some makeover too.  I will slip in when I can and make a few things, but will also be purging this stuff I no longer need.  We just have to put the new floor in the bathroom and a few other things and that room will be done.  Next we are redoing the walk in closet so everything gets pushed into the craft room again.  As I look at these walls, they really need a fresh coat of paint.  Think hubby may need to take a couple vacation days to help with this project!  See you soon and as always, Happy Crafting.....Diane

It's Almost March!

It's almost March and if you are like me you are so ready for Spring! After getting hit with 3 snow storms and bitter cold last week, I am so done!  Let's get our March started with a calendar page!  For this page, I used my Cricut Explore and svg files from PPBN Designs.  My friend Nikki has some wonderful svg files and she even has scrapbook page sets which you have seen on my blog many times.  You can visit her site by clicking her name.  For this page I used the March Title and cut it at 6.75 inches, the small clover and horseshoe are from the St. Patrick Stuff set cut at 1.5 inches and the Cute Shamrocks are cut at 4 inches.  My background paper is from Reminisce.  Well today I will be painting my bathroom and in between getting a few things ready for my cartridge review on Saturday so be sure to join me then!!!  Happy crafting!

Layout Tuesday and I am back!!!

Hello and I am so glad to be back with you all today. It is Layout Tuesday and I am sharing a layout with my Cricut Explore and the cartridges Teddy Bear Parade, Wild Card, Martha Stewart Holiday Cakes, Elegant Edges, and Ribbons & Rosettes. I have installed the update for Design Studio, but have not had time to learn about all the features and still managed to get this layout done. Not sure how soon I will since the remodeling is still going on, more about that later. For this layout, I went with the Valentine theme since I thought you might have some pictures you need to scrap.  I cut the cute little bear at 5 inches from Teddy Bear Parade, from Wildcard the title cut at 5 inches, from MS Holiday Cakes the love border cut at ll.5 inches and I save the hearts from the cut out to use on the page too, the rectangle lace frame cut at 5.25 inches from Elegant Edges and from Ribbons and Rosettes hearts cut at 1.5, 2.5, and 3 inches.  I just used cardstock and added some stickles .  I added ribbon to the bottom of the frame but took the picture before I did it.
I will be back Thursday with another project and as I said we are still doing remodeling so who knows what might happen lol.  The weather got us last week.  We had been lucky with just a dusting till last week and got hit 3 times in one week, so things were not happening.  Saturday along with snow came rain and ice so things are messy.  We did get the bathroom ceiling and woodwork painted, but then decided to change out the shower so waiting on the contractor to do that before painting the walls.  We also decided on some other projects so I am going to work on cleaning out things while we wait.  I might put things on my blog that I am wanting to get rid of so check back.  I have to downsize for some plans we are making and I have tons of stuff I no longer use so you just might find something you need.  I will let you know soon.  Glad to be back and till next time.....happy crafting.

Checking in today!

Hello Friends! Boy have I missed crafting, but want you to know that I will be back in full swing next week. The weather here in Kentucky decided to finally act like winter and dump us with several inches of snow. We have been lucky because we have had nothing more than dusting till this. Today and tomorrow we are fighting with below zero temps on top of this.  It has put us behind in doing our remodeling projects, but I am managing to finish the hall part way and get this crap out of my room.  I manage to snap a couple pictures, but could hardly get into the door, but you get the picture!  I am anxious to work with the new Design Space on my Cricut Explore and even though I did not need a new Explore, I did order the Bluetooth and the AG content.  I will have the option to use my iPad on some of my designing.  I will see you Tuesday for Layout to finish and find my room again.  Take care and keep warm!

Some Valentine Cards

Hello Friends. With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought I would share two cards with you today. I got these designs at the Silhouette Online Store and used the Cameo to create. I purchased these and they were really easy to cut and assemble that they would make easy cards to reproduce.  I think both of the cards might be able to purchase directly from the designer and use in the Cricut.  I will give you the item numbers so that you can check them out.  The first one is #53864 and the second one is #24537.  I will be stepping away from my crafting desk for couple weeks or so and mainly because I probably won't be able to get to it.  We are remodeling a bathroom upstairs and doing some work in the hallway so that means everything get stuck in my room till it is done.  So I am covering the machines and putting them out of the way of the dust and if I get some free time and can get to them, I will post.  I will also be cleaning out some stuff I no longer use or haven't used so I might be posting items for sale here on the blog.  Have a wonderful Valentine's Day and will see you again soon!!!

Layout Tuesday with PPBN Designs

Welcome to Layout Tuesday! Today I am sharing a couple layouts I did with the Silhouette Cameo and PPBN Designs svg files. The first one is called "Oh Snap".  I love this layout page because I knew I had the perfect pictures of my two little granddaughters to use on it.  When you purchase a kit from PPBN Designs, you get all the elements to create this page.  You can use any die cut machine that will cut svg files.  I have made many of her designs with my Cricut Explore, but since the Cameo has been neglected so much lately, I thought I better put it to work!
The second page is called "Little Stinker" in my case should say stinkers!!!  They made some cute faces as I was taking their pictures.  Love these two angels so much!!!!  Be sure to check out PPBN Designs and look at all her cool scrapbook pages.  See you Thursday!!!

Saturday Cartridge Review

Welcome to the Saturday cartridge review. For this review, I even surprised myself for picking this one and when I saw I had some pictures I could use, it turned out perfectly.  Today I am reviewing the Ole cartridge.  I have to admit I was hesitate with this one, but when I got in there and looked at all the cute images, I really found lots of goodies I could use in the future.  My granddaughter Mary-Kate went to a Spanish Immergent School from Kindergarten through 5th grand.  I have several pictures so this will be great!  I picked a few images for this layout.  I used the Cricut Explore and cut the dancers at 4.5 inches, hat cut at 3.5 inch, maracas at 3.5 inches and the font at 1.5 and only used the shadow on it.  I had some Spanish pattern paper from Reminisce in my stash.  Join me on Tuesday when it is Layout Tuesday and I will be sharing a layout from PPBN Designs.  Have a crafty weekend.

Time for a Vinyl Project

Almost Valentine's Day so time to get those projects completed. Today I am sharing a t-shirt that I made for my little granddaughter. I laugh when I pick her up from school because the little boys in her class totally are infatuated with her and they about knock each other down telling her goodbye. I wanted to let them know exactly who her Valentine is!!! One thing I love about the Cricut Explore is the canvas option.  If you are designing a t-shirt you bring it up and put in the correct size so you can see how it will fit.  I totally love that feature!!!  For this shirt I used Everyday Fonts for the text, Heart is from Seasonal Soirees, and the Arrow is from Sweetheart and I removed the bow.  I used my heat press too.  Join me Saturday with my cartridge review!
