News to share

Sorry, I have been away for a couple weeks, but things have been really hectic at my house.  Our house has been on the market for a couple months and has picked up with activity and we took a contract on it this week.  Trying to keep things picked up prevents my crafting time.  Now we are on the look for our dream home.  We lived here 23 years, but always knew it was not the final place.  Just took hubby longer to decide to sell than me.  My new place will have an awesome crafting space so then I will be able to work.  For the next couple months, I will be stepping back, but will be back as soon as possible, after all I need things for my new place!  Thanks to my loyal followers and hang in there I shall return with more great shares!  Thanks, Diane

Some shares for the week

Hello and welcome. I am sharing a few things this week with you. First off, I received an email from someone with a made up name and generic email address that I wish to address. They informed me that my work was pretty much crappy and that I should just stop showing it.  Since when I tried to respond and it was blocked, I shall do it here.  First, I do this blog for me and I have friends who actually enjoy seeing things I have made.  If you feel it is crappy, please do not visit.  We all have that choice, but I will continue to do this even if no one reads or comments because I want too.  All of you that enjoy seeing my projects and pin them, my sincere thanks.  Now that is all the time that person will get from me.  This first project is a cute tank and the brand is Next Level and if you have customers that wants these, tell them to size up.  I used a design that I purchased from the Silhouette Store and I think the font was Vine, but forgot to write it down.

One of my husbands ball players mom wanted a flag with all their team sports and all the images were from the Silhouette Store and the font was Sports World.
This shirt is for one of the mothers and the file for this is from Etsy.  I love finding different files there and some come with commerial license or you can purchase it.  Hope you like these.  I made 16 different ones last week I will be glad to share in the coming weeks.  Till later, Happy Crafting.

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day and hoping you're have a great holiday with family and friends. Please take a moment and remember the great men and women, past and present that have allow us to have our freedom.  Today I am sharing a couple projects with you.  I had a very busy craft week last week, so I will be sharing all over the next month .  I made this flag for my porch and my intention was to add something else to it so I made the design smaller, but then changed my mind so really it is kind of incomplete but up anyway.  I bought this design from the Silhouette store and added the outer circle to it.  I thought it needed it and the K is a font I downloaded called Lauren Script.
I bought some cabinet doors a couple weeks ago, and this is a sign I made from one of them.  I used a downloaded font called Grand Hotel and I love the font.  I used chalk paint and used the paint, vinyl, paint and peel method.  I distressed it and waxed it.  I have it hanging in my craft room.  I was gone all weekend visiting friends and family so I had to get this all ready.  Hope you enjoyed and see you next week.  Happy crafting!!!!

Some vinyl projects to share

Happy Monday! Today I have a few projects to share with you. I downloaded the new version of Cricut Design Space and all these were made on my Cricut. I like the software so far and really think it is faster.  The only thing I miss is the canvas, but over it is great!  Go to the cricut.com page and download it.  Now I had some orders so this first project is one of them.  I made this shirt for a friend of mine who has four paw children.  I bought the image from CreativeFabrica.  Go check out all their cool designs.  I used red glitter HTV and black on it.
This next shirt was a request and she gave me a picture and I made the fonts as close as I could to her sample.  I used the Cricut fonts Alphalicious and Quarter Note.  She was really happy with the results.  This shirt was navy which is hard to tell in the picture and the vinyl was a teal and looked great.  I had my doubts, but loved the results.
The next two projects are pillows I made for my spare room and I love them.  I picked black pillow covers that I purchased from CraftChameleon.  The first one I bought the svg from Etsy and it was from Cutitupyall and I wish I had picked a lighter blue.  This photographed lighter than it really is, but it is for me so it is ok.
This pillow was made with a free file from lovesvg.com and one of my favorite sayings.  Hope you enjoyed these projects.  Have a very good and crafty week!

Better late!

We had one of those busy weekends out of town for my daughter in laws college graduation and Mother's Day so I totally forgot to post last night due to being wiped out! lol  But I am here with my project and have next week ready so I won't forget.  This is a large sign I made for my bedroom wall because we could not find anything we liked for that space.  I bought this quote from MyVinylDesigner and the board measures 18 x 36 .  I first painted a base coat of being and then added my vinyl and let it set over night to make sure it was down good.  Then I painted over with navy and let dry.  It took two coats.  I used acrylic paint this time and then after it was dry peeled off the vinyl.  It turned out so much better than I imagined.  I distress the entire front and it still needs to be waxed so I will do that this week.  I used the Silhouette for this.  I did play with the new Design Space and really happen to like it.  All my projects for next week will be done by Cricut.  Only thing I miss is the canvas options.  I liked it for sizing my t-shirts.  Till next week happy crafting!

Getting Ready for Summer

Well today I only have one project to share with you. I am working on a big one, but hubby had some set backs with his surgery this week, so we were at drs and hospital. Still not great, but hopefully this week he will get on the mend. He does not like not being able to do anything! I am almost finished with my other project so I will share it next week.  I am going to attempt to make a wreath for my door as soon as I can go get supplies, but I went ahead and got my garden flag made this week.  I used a cute svg file from Miss Kate Cuttables and the flag I purchased over at CraftChameleon.  Be sure to check out all their great blank items.  I love making the burlap flags and so easy to use my heat press and create great HTV flags.  Hard to tell but it is all glitter vinyl and the place to go for that is 651vinyl.com   Troy is the best and his customer service is first class!  I picked up this ribbon at Old Time Pottery in Cincinnati, Ohio   Crossing my fingers I will have two projects ready to share next week!  Till then, Happy Crafting.....ps still haven't had a chance to try the new Cricut Design Studio.

A Scrapbooking Share

Hello and welcome! This week is going a little better than the last two and actually got a chance to finish these pages even though they are not too much detail on them. I am hoping to get in some crafting toward the end of the week after dr appts and other things.  These are pictures for the scrapbook I am making of my 2016 trips.  I am way behind, but this year maybe I will get caught up!

These pages were made with svg files.  The first page is files from www.svgcuttingfiles.com and I love they have cute, simple pages that are easy to complete.  The second page just has the Las Vegas skyline and I purchased this one from the Silhouette Store.  This week I hope to download the new Design Space in Cricut and try it out.  Been awhile since I had the bug out.  Till next week, Happy Crafting....Diane

My Trip

As you will see today, I am not sharing any crafts as I planned.  In my post last week I told you I would be on my Anniversary trip.  Well, that didn't happen.  We were on our way on this beautiful sunny day riding with the top down and was one hour away from our destination and my husband got sick.  We pulled over to a road side rest and it got worse.  Luckily the next exit was a mile away and over the state line with a hospital sign.  This was a very small town with a very small hospital, but without the caring and wonderful staff, he would  not have made it.  He had to have two surgeries and as soon as he was stable, we were able to transfer him back to Kentucky about an hour and a half from where we live.  Today is the 9th day in the hospital and he is scheduled to be released today or tomorrow and is feeling much better.  Needless to say, I didn't finish my pages, but hopefully next week when he is home.  By the way, we will do that anniversary trip over when he is better.  See you soon.

A Few Projects to Share

Happy Monday! As you read this, I am on another adventure. We decided to take a little mini trip for our anniversary which is today and I had a very busy week with projects. I had lots of vinyl to work with this week.  Next week I hope to share some scrapbooking which I am so far behind on!!!  Since yesterday was Easter, I had made this flag for my porch.  Not much to do but add our name, but love it just the same.
My granddaughter is going to Hilton Head next month and taking a friend and wanted shirts for each of them and this is the design she wanted.  I purchased the design from the Silhouette Store.  I also used fonts from my computer for the back.  I know this is a Cricut blog, but I am finding I use my Cameo more than my Cricut lately.  Hopefully, they will get the software working correctly soon.  I get tired of fighting with it so I turn to the other machine which is so much easier to use when you are not fighting with software issues.

Once Easter is over, I needed a flag to finish out the Spring season and made this one using a file from the Silhouette store.  I also added some jewels to it as well.
My youngest granddaughter needed a shirt to wear to school so she picked this design which I purchased on Etsy.  She loved it!
I hardly ever make anything for myself, so I made this shirt to wear this weekend.  I bought the file from Etsy and love it.  I am sure the rest of my family girls will want one too!  The next design is one I created myself.  I worked hard on this one to position all the states within the letters.  I did purchase the Ky state outline from the Silhouette Store, but the font is from Dafont which I offset and then subtracted the states from the top layer creating the cutout effect.  Love it!  Now I will do one with paw prints next.  Hope you enjoyed my shares today and till next week, Happy Crafting.

Wedding Shower Gift

Hello. As you read this today, I am on another great adventure. I will share the details with you next week as I know I will not have time to make anything. It has been hard to get started on projects since we have our house for sale and you never know when someone wants to come and look!  I usually have a messy craftroom when that call comes.  I am trying to keep my crafting at a minimum for this reason so please bare with me for the next few month.  My goal is to find a perfect place that will accommodate all my crafting and of course, all our other needs for a home.  You see what my first thing was on the list lol.  Now for today's project.  My daughter in law called and needed a shower gift and this is one we both love to use as our go to gift.  I made my designs and we etched with the air eraser.  I made this design using frames that I purchased from MyVinylDesigner and just used fonts on my computer.  The hardest part of this project is lining it up right.  The small dish gave me fits this time because it had been awhile since I had made these.  I will work on more designs since this is something everyone loves to receive.  Hope you liked my share today and wish you all a very happy crafting week!

A few shares today!

Hello. I will try to make my post on Monday now and today I am going to share a few things I have made lately.  I am getting ready for a trip at the end of this week so I will try to get things ready before I leave.  Today I am sharing some vinyl projects.  I love making shirts and lately have made several and with baseball season starting, I am sure I will be designing more.
My husband coaches our granddaughters second grade ball team and they recently won their first tournament and they were given each a trophy.  Being little girls, they wanted a shirt so I designed and made each of them one.  The basketball is one from a set I purchased on etsy and used fonts on my computer.  They really loved them!
Of course, I have made several for the mothers too and this is one I made for my daughter in law.  I got the heart basketball from the Silhouette store I think, if not from etsy.  I get so many to have for all special events.
Dr. Suess birthday was being celebrated at school and had a request for these two shirts.  I bought the svg files from etsy.  These were so cute on them.
I finally got a chance to make myself a little something and made this makeup bag which I love.  I got this saying from the Silhouette Store and used some glitter for the lips.  I keep this in my purse.  Hope you enjoyed my few projects.  Next week I will share with you a wedding shower gift I made.

Hello

Sorry for not posting in awhile.  Been busy with trips, basketball, and getting my home ready to sell.  Just hoping it doesn't sell too fast cause not ready to move in the winter!  I haven't been idle and will be sharing some of my items with you in the next few days.  My scrapping has gotten behind because of trying to keep my craft room presentable, but going to drag it out in again because I am so far behind and I have a big trip coming up in a couple weeks. I am sharing a couple things.  I made sweatshirts for Christmas for my husbands second grade ball team and since Easter is coming I am sharing a basket I made.  You can purchase the burlap baskets at Craftchameleon.com and I used the heat press to put the face on.  Since this was for my granddaughter I attached a hair bow too!  Will be sharing again real soon and Happy Scrappin.......
